Browned Butter Banana Bread with Duck Fat And Smoked Salt
A little favorite, I am finally sharing
I have been AWOL because…I have been sick. And skiing. And writing my tuckus off. Because the NEXT PASS of my manuscript for my cookbook is DONE. Delivered. Complete. WHAT THE ACTUAL FRESH HELL IS THIS FEELING OF JOY AND ACCOMPLISHMENT!?
Also, we’ve launched some new things at RecipeKick including ADVENTURES! Trips around the world!
While I was busy with that, I wrote this little recipe.
My daughter Magnolia loves banana bread. In fact, she asks for it nearly everyday. And as you might recall I am decidedly not a baker. It’s not that I cannot bake, it’s that I do not bake. I am fully capable at baking, I just…Don’t like it. It’s not my cup of tea, loaf of whatever.
If baking is classical, and cooking is jazz? I am jazz all the way.
But banana bread? It’s also jazz. And relatively easy to do, without a bunch of measuring cups. And eyeballing as I go.
But this recipe? I didn’t eyeball it. I actually tested it. Because I wanted it to be easy for everyone. Not just neurodivergent, wild child who doesn’t like rules me.
